I plan to use it for MIDI input in a DAW.
There are no strings on the fretboard; instead, silicone strips are attached in a linear pattern. When you pluck a string on the bridge side, sound is produced through the internal speaker in the body.
It connects to a PC via USB and can be used as a MIDI device.
