2022.2.16: This time, I brought in a body and neck that I ordered with specifications similar to those of the N4 Walnut.
The N4 Walnut I have has a wide but very thin neck, and I don't feel the stephan joint has much merit, so I decided to use the specs I wanted.
The Warmoth 59 shape neck with jumbo stainless steel frets and wide nut width makes the neck physically much thicker than the original and can be held with a soft touch.
The volume and selector are in a standard position, and the rear PU is direct-mounted without recess so that the bridge can be attached solidly to the custom specs used by Mr. Akira Nakayama.
The black parts were left over, but I thought I could have made it look like the custom version used by Kariya of Yin-Yang-Za.
The screws and insert blocks around the tremolo were replaced with stainless steel ones so that the chrome toggle switches would not look so strange.
When the wood first arrived, it looked like a light red ash, far from the actual N4 Walnut.
So we had it colored an even darker Walnut color.
The finish gives the impression of a slightly darker brown than the padouk-colored ash N4.
The lock nut was ordered to use R4 that was left over from a previous order.
The pitch between the strings is wide, so if you are not used to it, you may feel the strings fall off easily.
