The tuning can be lowered from a semitone down to 3 semitones and down an octave, and it can also be used as an octave bar.
Personally, I think it can be used up to one note lower. I feel that the lower the tuning, the less attack you get when picking. I think the lower the octave, the less attack you get when picking.
I personally don't feel much latency.
If you don't use an independent power supply or the included adapter, you will probably get some noise.
Personally, I am glad I bought it.
If you play it loud with a big amp, I don't think you'll mind the slight change in sound quality.
