sound features I use it mainly as a preamplifier, but I used to use it as a booster as well. I mainly use it as a booster, but I used to use it as a preamplifier as well. I think I like the chirpy(?) feeling I get when I turn it on, like a tube amp. If you boost the voltage to 18v, you can get more sound pressure.
