Channel 1 is a general OD/DS, and can be used for anything from light OD to heavy DS, while channel 2 is a bit special, and can be used to distort only the midrange. Channel 1 is the basic OD, and channel 2 can be used as a booster or independent DS depending on the situation (unless you have two amplifiers).

As the name suggests, there are two distortion channels, and two outputs, but I don't think I'll be using them for a while. The top meter is for displaying the input level of the instrument and can be switched to display the output level with the flip of a switch.
