I felt that the groove cut on the nut when I bought it was slightly shifted closer to the first string, and I could not concentrate on playing because I was nervous about trills and such using the first open string. So I had the nut replaced at a repair store. Since then, no problem.
It is the type that becomes a single coil PU when the volume knob is pulled, but that is unnecessary for me.
