GOTOH UK12 gear pegs for ukulele are used for the pegs. The tuning stability is already a world standard. Default strings are D'Addario EJ45 nylon strings for classical guitar. Guitarists can change strings almost the same as on acoustic guitars.
The guitar comes with its own PROTECT CASE. This is a downsized version of STR GUITARS' popular PROTECT CASE, specially designed for the UG. It is a very useful case with high protection for the instrument and a lot of other storage space.
The case is ukulele-like in size and has 6 strings. The tuning is A-E-C-G-D-A starting from the first string. This is with the 4 strings of a ukulele tuned to Low-G, plus 2 more bass strings. This setting is easy to play for both ukulele players and guitar players, and of course for beginners. Many of these mini size guitars until now have been only a project and not a finished product, but STR x HEADWAY has made no compromises and the quality of the instrument itself is very high.
